DESIGNATED MARKSMAN
The Designated Marksman/Patrol Scoped Rifle course is the bridge between the SWAT sniper and the patrol rifle with steel sights or red dot sights. This course is aimed at training a designated marksman for agencies without the capacity of a tactical unit. This course will train officers in marksmanship fundamentals and precision shooting in the medium ranges out to 300 yards. If you are looking for personnel to extend their effective range of precision fire, this is a great starting point. This can include LPVO's.
Shooting platforms can range from an AR chassis style .223/5.56 to bolt action rifles designated by your agency (.243, 6.5, 7mm, .308, etc). You should have match grade or department duty ammo (350 rounds) plus 50 rounds handgun ammo.
